Ana followed up her win over Tamira Paszek by beating Tatiana Golovin 7-5 6-3
to reach the semi-finals of the Linz Indoors.
In a very similar start to the match they played last week in Zurich, Ana
started well, went 3-0 up but then allowed Golovin to come back. At 5-5 Ana
held her nerve to wrap up the set.
In the second set Golovin started very well and went 3-0 up but Ana dug deep
and managed to string together the next six games to close the set 6-3 and
setup a semi-final meeting with either Patty Schnyder or Daniela Hantuchova.
