“I’m very happy with the way I played today,” said Ivanovic. “I think
everything in my game was going well, except maybe for my first serve, which
wasn’t so good at times.”
Ivanovic is set to square off against Schnyder in a rematch of the Zurich
semifinals just last week. The Swiss star easily defeated Ivanovic 62 61, but
came up short in the final against Lindsay Davenport.
“I think the court here is a little different than the one in Zurich,” said
Ivanovic. “Last week the court seemed to take a lot more of the spin, which
helped her (Schnyder), but I think the surface here may help me. It’s my
second semifinal in two weeks, but this week I want to go one round better and
reach the final.”
