雖然所有的檢查顯示傷勢是有改善，但傷部還是嚴重的腫大。
基於今年實不能再依賴cortisone針的狀況下，
就只能繼續監控肩膀的狀況。
雖然備感沮喪，
還是相信仍有優秀成員的俄羅斯代表隊，有很好的機會贏得比賽。

Over the past 48 hours I have consulted with my medical
team and I have been advised that I need to rest my
shoulder for the next 10 days with no activity. This will
mean that I will have to once again withdraw from Fed Cup.
All the scans and test show improvement in my shoulder but
I still have a tremendous amount of swelling in the area.
Since having another cortisone shot in 2007 is not an
option for me, I need to monitor my shoulder at all times.
I know this withdrawl is very frustrating for all my
Russian fans, but I promise you it is way more frustrating
for me. Nothing would of made me happier then beating the
Americans on American soil. The good news is that Russia
still has an amazing team and I believe they will still
have a very good chance to win the match.
