轉貼一下在tennis.com上看到的報導。 The third and final wildcard for Madrid has been given to Albert Montanes, following Juan Carlos Ferrero's decision to withdraw his name from consideration when he was not named to the initial list of wildcards. 當Ferrero沒有被列在原本的外卡名單時，他從外卡的考慮名單中撤回自己的名字，之後第三張外卡頒給了Albert Montanes。 Two of the wildcards were awarded to non-Spaniards, Marat Safin and Fabio Fognini, and Ferrero criticized Madrid tournament director Manuel Santana for allowing owner Ion Tiriac to influence the choice of wildcards. Santana defended the other wildcard choices by saying Madrid was an "international tournament."
