Mark Madsen and Craig Smith were aggressive rebounding the basketball
during a recent practice, drawing praise from coach Dwane Casey.
The Wolves will need as many rebounds as they can get from reserves,
because starting center Mark Blount is a liability in that department,
and all-star Kevin Garnett can't get every single board.
Foye Boy
Today's 7 p.m. scrimmage, open to the public at Minnesota State University
Mankato, will be a coming out party, of sorts, for rookie guard Randy Foye.
He played at the Metrodome last spring in the NCAA tournament, but this will
be his first chance to play with his Timberwolves teammates in front of fans.
Foye, who wasn't known as a three-point shooter at Villanova, has shown good
touch from long range in practice this week.
