Kevin Garnett
Holding On To No. 1
Dec 11 - One theory from Minnesota is, if the Wolves don?t succeed in trading
for Allen Iverson, Kevin Garnett probably will be moved by next summer
because owner Glen Taylor wants to cut costs. Dealing with the Bulls would
make more sense in February, since the Bulls could include nearly $11 million
in expiring contracts from P.J. Brown and Michael Sweetney.
For now, no deal appears to be on the table and there probably is no chance
the Bulls would trade their 2007 first-round pick unconditionally.
Troy Hudson
Future Uncertain
Dec 11 - Earlier this season, Troy Hudson voiced his displeasure with his
role when he said he felt he was in a bad marriage. A divorce could come if
the Wolves decide to make a move for Philadelphia 76ers all-star Allen
Iverson, who is on the trading block.
Hudson is on the outside looking in right now. Rookie Randy Foye has taken
over as the backup to starter Mike James, which means fewer minutes are
available for Hudson.

Kevin Garnett
Garnett, Chicago Banter
Dec 10 - Have hope, Bulls fans. There's still a chance, albeit not a strong
one, that Kevin Garnett someday could be helping the Bulls win rather than
pushing them to a loss, as he did Saturday night.
"That's a good thing the personnel [management] has changed in Chicago. But
you guys have a beautiful future. Y'all have some young guys who will be real
key in the future. I love Kirk [Hinrich], everybody loves Ben (Garnett didn't
specify Wallace or Gordon). You guys have a bright future." -- Chicago
Tribune
Contrary to recent reports, the chances of Garnett in a Bulls uniform this
season are slim at best.
According to a league source, if the Timberwolves finally decide to part ways
with Garnett in the near future, they would want the best possible chance to
land phenom center Greg Oden in return. The Ohio State freshman is expected
to turn pro next spring.
In that case, the Timberwolves would wait until after the draft order was
finalized in the lottery before they pursued any such deal. -- Daily Southtown
League sources indicated the Bulls and the Timberwolves have had some
preliminary discussions about Garnett and the price would be Luol Deng, Tyrus
Thomas and possibly a first-round draft pick.
P.J. Brown and a couple of other players would be needed to even out the
salaries. -- Arlington Heights Daily Herald

Kevin Garnett
Time To Get Garnett
Dec 8 - There's no telling what it will take to get a deal done, but here's
one proposal that might work: Andres Nocioni, Tyrus Thomas, P.J. Brown,
Michael Sweetney and the Bulls' first-round selection next June.
Although the Bulls would give up a ton of talent, the addition of Kevin
Garnett would make them the immediate favorites to win the Eastern
Conference. With Garnett, Ben Wallace, Luol Deng, Kirk Hinrich, Ben Gordon,
Chris Duhon and Thabo Sefolosha getting most of the playing time, the Bulls
would be tough to beat. -- Chicago Sun-Times

Eddie Griffin
No Decision
Dec 6 - Eddie Griffin is in the second season of a three-year, $8 million
contract he signed in the summer of 2005. He has a player option for the
2007-08 season. Griffin said he hasn't made any decisions about his future
with the team or whether he will walk away from the remaining year on his
deal. He wants to see how this season progresses. -- St. Paul Pioneer Press
