[外電] Jaric makes his health primary focus

Guard Marko Jaric, for as long as he remains a member of the Timberwolves, is
trying to keep his issues in order: Injury first, trade second.
Jaric's sprained right thumb, which has sidelined him in five of the Wolves'
past eight games, still is limiting him. Until he is able to contribute
again, he can't prove his worth to this team or any other one that might be
interested in him.
That's not to say he couldn't be dealt while still hurt; Detroit remains a
possible destination in a trade for center Nazr Mohammed or another Pistons
big man. But it didn't happen Tuesday.
"I don't even want to think about it until the general manager or my agent
calls me and says, 'Marko, you are traded,' " Jaric said after practice
Tuesday. "Then my mindset starts shifting, y'know? But until that moment,
honestly, I can't think about going somewhere else."
Jaric, 28, has been unhappy since losing the starting point guard spot last
January. This season, he has provided help as a swingman off the bench -- the
Wolves are 5-1 when he scores 10 points or more, 6-2 when he grabs five
rebounds -- but his minutes have been limited (21.5 per game).
Jaric has made his displeasure known to management and agent Bill Duffy,
though he is uncomfortable discussing it in the media. "Everything's going
well for [the team]," he said. "I don't want to be like the black sheep of a
family.
"That's why I want to try to come back as soon as possible. So I can be part
of the team and winning now," he said.
