[外電] Taylor mum on McHale
If Glen Taylor plans to have Kevin McHale back, he isn't saying.
"I don't want to answer that question," the Timberwolves owner said before
Friday's loss to Miami at Target Center, when asked if he plans to bring back
his VP of basketball operations.
Wolves coach Randy Wittman has a son, Ryan, who was Ivy League freshman of
the year for Cornell this season. At 6 feet 6 and an excellent shooter, the
Eden Prairie grad could become an NBA prospect. But there will be no leaving
school before he graduates, if it's up to his father
Among spectators at the Timberwolves-Heat game Friday night at Target Center
was Pooh Richardson, the Wolves organization's first draft pick in 1989.
Richardson, 40, will play a major part in Will Ferrell's new comedy movie
"Semi-Pro," to be released next year.
"We've been filming for three months now; I'm a player for the Spurs team,
and it's about the ABA merging with the NBA," Richardson said. "It's a really
funny movie."
Richardson, who was a TV analyst for Los Angeles Clippers games last season,
is in the real estate business in Palm Springs, Calif. He would like to
return to the Wolves organization, he said.
