The official web has offered a special gift to Rufete. A new lucky
T-shirt with a photo of him after scoring a very important goal in 2001/2002
season in La Romareda stadium. In the photo we can she him his the 'eternal
evil' that always goes with him for the good and the bad moments. Valencia
C.F. has given him this T-shirt in order to provide him even more luck. He
has said "it's very exciting for me because the T-shirt with the evil is
something personal for me, that I have kept for many years. Since the very
beginning of my career it has been with me, it's very personal. Now I cannot
show it due to the new regulations but I always wear it under my official
T-shirt, since I was a child. It's something more than an amulet, it's
something that goes with me, a feeling.". Moreover Rufo wants to dedicate
the goals to all the Valencia C.F.'s supporters and specially to the
supporters of the official web site, www.valenciacf.es.

Could you draw up a balance of the current season?
"Usually the balance can be drawn up when the season is over, because
then we'll see the team's achievements. For the moment, there have been many
changes, many moments of incertitude and problems caused by the latest events
, and in such circumstances it's difficult to have stability. But within this
instability the team is fighting for a place in the Champions League and
that's good. At the end of the season we will see what has happened. If we
get the place in the Champions League we will see it in a more positive way.
".
Rufete always plays really well in La Romareda. Do you expect to repeat
your past successes?
"I wish It happened again and even if I don't score any goal, I wish we
made a good match. We are in a position where we must get points, we cannot
take any step backwards. It's going to be a difficult match, I think the
team is capable to win, and I wish we could do it because we need it.".
Each one of the matches of this final straight of the season will be
like a final. How has the team approached the match against Zaragoza?
"As if it was a final. We must do everything we know, we must work hard
to get the victory. And it will be the same in the matches against Zaragoza,
Malaga, Barcelona, and all the other ones that last until the end of the
season."
