Re: 交易的大消息
今天的 St. Paul Pioneer關於KT的報導
看KT的描述 Lynx真的有點狠心
還有 他說他還要打四五年(之前明明說在打兩三年要去當牙醫) 那我更覺得Lynx虧到了

'Bittersweet' ending surprises ex-Lynx star
Katie Smith on Saturday took a flight to Sacramento, Calif., as the Lynx's
franchise player. By that evening, she was aboard another plane to join
her new team, the Detroit Shock.
The Lynx traded Smith on Saturday, ending her seven-year tenure as the most
recognizable player in the relatively short history of the franchise.
Although trade rumors had circulated for weeks, Smith said Sunday she was
caught off guard.
"I had no idea this was coming," Smith said during a phone interview hours
before Detroit's home game against the Phoenix Mercury. "It hit me pretty
hard."
Smith scored six points in her Shock debut as her new team defeated the
Mercury 66-63.
The Lynx acquired guard Chandi Jones, forward Stacey Thomas and Detroit's
first-round pick in 2006 in exchange for Smith and a second-round pick next
year.
"It's probably bittersweet," Smith said. "I'm excited about being on this
team, a competitive team. This is a team with a lot of ability. Obviously,
I'm sad that I've got to leave my teammates. I've been in Minnesota for the
past seven summers. I've made a lot of connections with people and the fans.
I just want to thank them for all the support they've given me in good times
and bad and hope they still follow me."
Smith joined the Lynx for their inaugural season in 1999. Smith was a
five-time all-star for the Lynx and a member of the U.S. Olympic gold-medal
teams in 2000 and 2004.
"It is special to be kind of a cornerstone of something," Smith said of her
tenure in Minnesota. "It all comes to an end. It would have been nice to
finish your career in one spot, but Minnesota had some other intentions."
She played 24 minutes off the bench in her first game for Detroit. She went
2 of 9 from the field to go along with three assists.
Smith, 31, said she hopes to continue playing four or five more years. "I
hope the players continue to work hard and continue to bust their butts," she
said. "I wish them well the rest of the way."
