Wilson Launches New Williams Sisters Racquets Venus Williams is now Divine and Serena Williams will take up with a tennis Gypsy. Wilson announced today it is expanding its exclusive W line of women旧 high performance racquets with two new models " created and inspired by Venus and Serena Williams." Venus unveiled her new racquet, the "W5 Divine Iris" in Warsaw last week. Serena, who has not played a match since falling to Daniela Hantuchova at the Australian Open in January, is expected to introduce the "W3 Gypsy Rose" in tournament play prior to the start of the U.S. Open in August — if Serena does in fact fulfill her announced plans to return to tournament tennis "by the end of the summer." A Wilson spokesperson told Tennis Week today the company does anticipate Serena will launch her comeback before the U.S. Open. "There is no timetable set for Serena — it is when she returns to competition and recovers from injury," a Wilson spokesperson said. "We anticipate it to be before the U.S. Open." Venus' W5 Divine Iris is white with chocolate and golden swirls on the fame "inspired from the work of her favorite painter, 19th century Austrian artist Gustav Klimt." Serena's W3 Gypsy Rose incorporates her favorite colors, pink and brown, in an accents "influenced by her style icons Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton."
