At the end of the friendly match against Sestese, Javier Portillo held a
short press conference which he ended with a joke: “I would play in goal
if the mister would decide so.” The Spanish player commented his season
and stated that he feels well in Florence and wants to remain till June to
win a place in the first eleven. “I want to do well so to repay the warmth
of the city and fans.”

ready to play from the first minute on Sunday against Chievo at the Franchi
stadium. “It might be a trident, but also with just two forwards; the coach
will decide,” added Portillo, “For me there are no problems, I can play on
the wing, in midfield and also in goal,” said the smiling Spanish player.

future will be decided in June, but I’m fine here and I don’t see why I
should leave.”
