Fabrizio Miccoli is still furious with himself after missing the crucial
penalty against Roma midweek and aims to make up for it by scoring at Inter.
Miccoli對於週中對羅馬比賽中錯失的點球依然覺得很生氣，並想在這輪聯賽從國米

“I made a mistake and I humbly apologise to everyone,” said the Fiorentina
star after the Coppa Italia shoot-out. “Goalkeeper Gianluca Curci did well
to stay on his feet until the last moment. I should’ve hit it harder so he
wouldn’t have been able to get there.”

Had Miccoli’s spot-kick gone in, it would have completed the lottery and
seen the Viola qualify for the semi-finals. It went to sudden death and Tomas
Ujfalusi struck the upright to send Roma through to face Udinese.

“It is a shame, as we had put in one of our best performances of the season
so far,” continued the ex-Juventus man after their 1-0 win on the night.

“I feel so sorry for all the fans and my teammates, as the fact it was our
resident penalty taker who made the mistake was particularly painful. I hope
to make up for this error against Inter.”

Miccoli is somewhat out of practise, as Fiorentina were only recently awarded
their first penalty of the Serie A season, which Miccoli converted in the 2-1
win over Reggina.
