derby at the Stadio Artemio Franchi promises to be as passionate and frenetic
as ever.

Although the Viola have exceeded their wildest expectations so far this
season, Cesare Prandelli's side have lost some momentum in 2006 and have seen

within a point of Champions League football next season. Prandelli will
demand that his side show that kind of fighting spirit again in what is
certain to be a hotly contested grudge match.

successfully guided his side into mid-table and baring a complete collapse
they will avoid the drop for a third consecutive season. The Bianconeri
secured a confidence-boosting win over Sampdoria last weekend and although
they start as clear outsiders they may fancy their chances of picking up an
unexpected point against their more illustrious neighbours.

Goalkeeper Antonio Mirante, who received a call-up for the Under-21 squad, is
unlikely to feature. Erjon Bogdani is fit but may not start after the recent

after injury. Gianluca Falsini remains out of action.
