Cesare Prandelli acknowledges that Fabio Liverani has become a crucial figure
for Fiorentina as he faces his old club Lazio.

「I asked my strikers to stick close to the midfield so they are ready to run
forward on the break and in particular we must learn how to get the best out
of Liverani,」 said the tactician who used him sparingly during the first few
months of the campaign.

「Lazio certainly know him well, but everyone is aware of Liverani's quality.
He is a key player for us and we have to understand when to pass the ball

This season the Viola have changed to a 4-3-3 system with Adrian Mutu and
Martin Jorgensen (or Reginaldo) flanking Luca Toni.

「It's not an easy tactic and it takes time for everyone to fully understand
the movements required. Our injury problems have essentially ended, so it's
my job to choose which players to field.」

Both these teams were embroiled in the Calciopoli scandal this summer, but
while Fiorentina's penalty was only cut to 15 points, Lazio ended up with

「Their form has certainly picked up since the appeal verdict, as certain
tension cannot be ignored when you're playing. Having said that, Delio
