The Amaranto legend had allegedly declared that he was ready to move to the Tuscan rivals at the end of the season, during a seminar on the ills of Italian football in London. Lucarelli however, did not appreciate the reports following his statements, claiming that he had never said anything like that. 「The seminar lasted over two hours and I never spoke about market plans,」 said the No 99 via his agent Carlo Pallavicino. 「I never spoke about Fiorentina or my future, there are over 200 people who can testify to that,」 added the player's representative. 「The only thing I am worried about is to help Livorno secure Serie A safety. 」 The Livorno captain was expected to leave the club, after declaring that his time with the Amaranto was over following the disappointing 1-1 draw with Reggina. Lucarelli was booed by his supporters and reacted furiously, insisting that he would leave and that there were no chance of him changing his mind.
