The Italian international and last year's Golden Shoe winner has been consistently linked with a summer move to Inter, Juventus or most strongly Bayern Munich. 「Will we be able to keep Toni? It is a very difficult situation,」 confessed the patron on Radioblu. 「I will speak to him on Monday morning and we will discuss it then.」 The striker had already been on the verge of a transfer last season after the Calciopoli scandal, but the switch to Inter fell through. Despite having a 15-point penalty, the Viola have fought back to secure a place in the UEFA Cup. 「Returning to Europe is crucial for us after everything that has happened,」 continued Della Valle. 「It is wonderful for the city of Florence to experience these feelings again, but for me personally it will be a debut.
