http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/may26c.html Sebastien Frey has finally received a France call and reached the UEFA Cup with Fiorentina. 「Now it is time to party.」 The goalkeeper has long been considered a talent and has played in Serie A since joining Inter from Cannes in 1998 as a teenager. He has consistently been ignored by Les Bleus and is yet to win a senior cap, although he received a call from Raymond Domenech for the Euro 2008 qualifiers against Ukraine and Georgia next month. 「I am very happy, because I honestly was not expecting this,」 confessed the shot-stopper. 「The call comes at the perfect moment for me to fit into the France squad. This is the ideal conclusion to a great season.」 It has been a troubled campaign for both club and player, as the Viola fought back from a 15-point Calciopoli penalty to reach the UEFA Cup and Frey was out for several months with a serious knee injury. 「We want to end the season well against Sampdoria on Sunday. Admittedly we did relax psychologically after mathematically securing the UEFA spot,」 added the goalkeeper. 「But we want to impress in front of our fans and celebrate with them. We started so far down and now look at where we are.
