Italian newspaper 『Tuttosport' claims that the Spaniards have set their sights firmly on the 28-year-old Romanian international. Mutu's career hit rock bottom when he was sacked by Chelsea and suspended for failing a drugs test, but has been spectacularly revived at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. He scored 16 goals in 33 appearances this term under the tutelage of Coach Cesare Prandelli – who also got the best out of him at Parma. Fiorentina have said they will put more pressure on Mutu's shoulders next season, as he is the senior striker now that Luca Toni has joined Bayern Munich. However, if French international Giuly were to be included in the exchange, then he would make a fine support for Giampaolo Pazzini.
