[傳聞] Viola boot out rebel Bojinov

Fiorentina have confirmed Valeri Bojinov is for sale after refusing to pen a
new contract and could be exchanged for Roma's Mirko Vucinic.
The Bulgarian spent last season on loan at Juventus, but has failed to make
an impact and was insulted by fans as he arrived for training with the Viola.
「Every club must defend itself and we have two young players, Giampaolo
Pazzini and Bojinov, whose contracts expire in 2009,」 explained director of
sport Pantaleo Corvino.
「We believe in them and will take a risk for them, but there must also be
guarantees. Pazzini is open to a new contract and wants to stay, but Bojinov
did not welcome this idea.
「Despite it all, we decided to confirm his current contract, but he did not
accept it, so Fiorentina have put him on the market.」
It's believed the former Lecce starlet requested a wage increase despite
causing endless problems since he first joined the club.
「We expected a different attitude,」 added Corvino. 「Bojinov is for sale
and will continue to train with us, but only those players who have married
the Fiorentina project will get precedence.
「We are waiting for offers. I have many ideas for the attack. Lately I had
another thought – I will tell the Coach…」
It's reported that idea is Roma benchwarmer Vucinic, who Corvino knows well
from his time as transfer guru of Lecce.
Bojinov could be offered to the Giallorossi in exchange for Vucinic, solving
both issues at once.
「I had thought of bringing Bojinov back, but we were clear in telling his
agent that the contract was key,」 noted Cesare Prandelli.
「The moment his people slammed the door on long-term plans for Fiorentina,
we had to go back on the market.」
