First of all, Mutu revealed the reason for staying at Fiorentina and refusing an offer from Barcelona. 「I've decided to stay here especially due to the affection that fans have for our team. Here in Florence everyone lives of football. 「To be honest, I never knew exactly about an offer coming from Barcelona. All I know is that I don't want to change clubs and my agent, who handles all these situations, knows that very well: I want to stay in Florence at all costs and I don't care about the money. Mutu then moved onto discussing Vieri's move to Fiorentina, and his new role as playmaker/second striker. 「Vieri is the right man for this team. For 10 years he has played for many great teams and he could give us something important, such as the right approach to a game. 「During the training sessions Prandelli has given me a playmaker/second striker role on the pitch. This is certainly the best solution as it gives me the opportunity to proceed to the opponent's goal and to score more goals. At last, Mutu gave a preview on the 2007/2008 Serie A season. 「Inter are favourites to win, even though many great players don't always succeed in creating a winning team.
