Adrian Mutu has shot down transfer speculation and admits he's looking
forward to returning to the Stadio Tardini as an opponent.
The Fiorentina hero has been linked with a move away from the Stadio Franchi,
most notably for Luciano Spalletti's Roma.
「I am honoured by the interest of other clubs, but I want to remain at
Fiorentina because there is a very important project in place here,」 said
the Romanian.
His career really took off at Parma in 2002-03 and he has been reunited with
boss Cesare Prandelli in the Viola jersey.
Both return to the Tardini as opponents this weekend and expect to receive a
warm welcome from their former fans.
「I am always happy to come back to Parma, but I really hope I score here,
too,」 smiled the striker.
「I hope we won't feel the effects of the training camp in Marbella too much.
」
Like many other Serie A sides, Fiorentina went to warmer climes for a week of
intensive training over the Christmas break.
While Inter and Milan visited Dubai and Juventus went to Malta, the Tuscans
jetted off to Spain.
