It looks likely that the Viola will be playing Champions League football next season and thus they would need to reinforce their squad especially up front as Christian Vieri looks like he will be leaving the Artemio Franchi at the end of the current campaign. The Viola are interested in the Italian international but his agent has revealed that there is no chance of such a move going through even though the Florence based club are willing to offer the Yellow Submarines €25m for Rossi's services. "At the moment, the possibilities of selling Rossi to Fiorentina are zero," said Rossi's agent, Federico Pastorello. There have been rumours in the Italian press linking Adrian Mutu with a move away from the Viola, in which case, it would free up a place for Rossi's potential arrival.
