Liverpool defender Emiliano Insua's move to Fiorentina has fallen through
after he failed to agree terms with the Italian club.

Pantaleo Corvino said the Serie A club had been unable to agree terms with
the 21-year-old.

The two clubs had agreed a fee, worth a reported ￡5 million, last month, but
discussions with Insua himself proved fruitless.

With the Argentina international refusing to budge on his salary demands,
Fiorentina have admitted defeat.

"Insua is not coming," said Corvino. "He had high financial demands.

"At the end we decided to give up on Insua, who will remain in England. The
player would have entered into Fiorentina's technical and financial plans,
but we couldn't reach an agreement with the player.
