While Matsuzaka is under the microscope in New England, Nomo is
working out in Florida, recovering from elbow surgery last summer.
He spent part of 2005 in the Yankees' farm system after being
released by Tampa Bay and was in the Chicago White Sox organization
last year before the surgery.
Once Nomo is healthy, Nomura said, he will show his stuff for scouts
in hopes of signing another contract.
