The Oakland A's today placed right-handed pitcher Rich Harden on the 15-day
disabled list retroactive to May 14 with a strained left oblique muscle. To
take his spot on the roster the A's have recalled right-handed pitcher Seth
Etherton from Triple-A Sacramento.
