Bradley for Brown, Buck to DL

The Milton Bradley saga appears to be over (barring some last second
complications, and with Bradley, that's always possible), with Bradley going to
San Diego in exchange for reliever Andrew Brown, who could be headed to the big
leagues soon given Oakland's needs in the bullpen. The A's are expected to pick
up a chunk of the $2 million remaing on Bradley's contract, according to a
source with knowledge of the negotiations.
Today's daily DL trip goes to........outfielder Travis Buck, who is likely to
join nine others on Oakland's disabled list because his injured thumb continues
to bother him. The move will be backdated one day, so he'll be eligible to come
off in two weeks and the hope is that that amount of rest will solve the
problem. Dee Brown is likely to come up from Triple-A Sacramento to provide
outfield depth. That will make a total of 15 different outfielders the A's have
used this season.
