[新聞] Athletics sign P Gonzalez to minor-year deal
OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA (TICKER) —The Oakland Athletics on Monday agreed to terms
with righthanded pitcher Edgar Gonzalez on a minor-league contract.
Gonzalez will be a non-roster invitee to spring training.
In 17 games with Arizona in 2008, Gonzalez was 1-3 with a 6.00 ERA. He was
placed on the disabled list June 28 with a right elbow sprain and missed the
final 82 games.
Gonzalez, 25, has compiled a 14-21 career record and 5.97 ERA in 80 games over
six seasons. He had his best season in 2007, going 8-4 with a 5.03 ERA in 32
games, including 12 starts.
