[新聞] OAKLAND RELEASES CASILLA
Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - The Oakland Athletics released right-
handed reliever Santiago Casilla on Thursday to make room on the 40-man
roster for Rule 5 draftee Bobby Cassevah.
Casilla was 1-2 with a 5.96 earned run average in 46 games for the A's in
2009. He was eligible for arbitration following the season.
Over parts of six seasons Casilla was 6-4 with a 5.11 ERA.
Meanwhile, Cassevah. a right-handed reliever, was selected from the Angels'
organization with the ninth overall pick in the major league phase of the
Rule 5 Draft.
