After four years with the Amaranto, Lucarelli is now playing in Ukraine and made his Champions League debut in the Kroty's victory over Armenian side Pyunik. The Labronici idol left his hometown club this summer after his relationship with the fans and President Aldo Spinelli became acrimonious during last term. While many bitter Livorno fans have accused the 31-year-old hitman of being lured by a highly lucrative contract deal, he insists wages didn't enter into his thoughts. 許多 Livorno 球迷指責 Lucarelli 被高薪合約引誘，他則堅稱工資不是原因。 “People who think it was about the money should ask themselves why I turned down an equal offer last year from Zenit Saint Petersburg,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
