Parma tactician Francesco Guidolin found it difficult to find excuses
as to why his team lost 2-0 against Cagliari on Sunday. The only thing
the Gialloblu boss could do was compliment his opposition on the match
they played.

"My compliments go out to [Massimiliano] Allegri and his team," Guidolin
said post-match to Novantesimo.it.

"They deserved the three points because they played a lot better than us."

Guidolin said after the defeat that his side's focus should turn from aiming
for a place in the top half of Serie A, to surviving the drop at season's end.

He continued "From this match onwards, we understand that we have to aim
firstly to save ourselves from relegation.

"The penalty may have changed the match, but it doesn't take anything away
from Cagliari's deserving victory."
