Anyone else think the slide that injured nunez was cheap...? ------------------------------------------------------------ VERY cheap...watch the replay and you can see that it wasn't a slide - he took him OUT. When you have enough room to roll over twice and then touch the bag with your hand, I'm sorry, it's not a slide. But hey, that's part of the game. In hockey, where essentially the rules regarding hits are at a minimum, you go knee to knee and you get a penalty - let it be known to the Astros that going knee to knee in a supposed slide is a VERY cheap sh ot. Here's to Nunez, our ever stable 'second string' third baseman getting healthy in the next few days... ------------------------------------------------------------- Jason Lane is officially a tool. That was the dirtiest play in baseball I have ever seen. He was almost perpendicular to the frickin basepath... Anyone hear the postgame show? Wayne Hagin asked him about the play and he was like...yeah, i was just goin in hard, trying to get to the base...HA... usually when you slide feet first, your feet are pointing towards the bag instead of home plate Anyone hear what the announcers were saying? I hope the national guys blasted him for being a douch ebag --------------------------------------------------------------- I was so outraged watching the game on FOX and none of the announcers would call Jason Lane out on the dirty play he made. As anyone with any baseball intelligence would know, that was not a "I'm going to slide into third to made it safe slide" it was a "I'm going to slide in with my knee up and take out Nunez and role into third base slide". I've lost a lot of respect for the Astros and the way they play the game for that play. ----------------------------------------------------------------- it was dirty....but it is in the game...dirty nonetheless ----------------------------------------------------------------- It looked cheap in slow motion but I'm not 100% certain it was intentional. Either way what are you gonna do about it? We've seem to have run up against a spot of bad luck the last two games have we not. I want a big lead tommorow. I'm tired of trailing these games by a piddly run or two. I want the bats to come alive!
