Resisting generalizations Celtics director of basketball operations Danny Ainge takes a pragmatic approach to the ever-increasing trend toward Europeans. While Ainge has been watching lots of tape, he's not looking for reasons to select a European player. Still, he wants to make sure Boston has as much scouting information as possible. ''I'm not caught up in the European craze, personally,'' said Ainge. ''The names of the European players that were projected as first-round picks, quite honestly, I would never take in the first round. You can't generalize European players. You just have to take every single player in the draft, whether they're from Russia or Southern California, and you have to evaluate them. You don't put them in separate categories. You find out as much information about every single player as you can.
