對任何希望有所得的首都球隊來說,德比都是生活中的一件大事。在本週的專欄
中,帕特˙內文討論了本賽季在我們自己門口的磕磕絆絆。

儘管曼聯之前已經多次表現出,無論他們對利物浦和我們有沒有優勢,他們仍然
會感覺到壓力。畢竟,他們只是人。
這是希丁克執教下的首次失利,如果我們誠實的話,那麼從一月到賽季末在不丟
分的情況下走完全程往往是一個苛求。可以從中看出的唯一積極的東西,當然是我們
的主要對手也不會在賽季的剩餘時間保持不敗了。在冠軍聯賽的擔憂仍然處在他們想
法的最前面時,曼聯將不得不對他們無可否認的強大球隊進行洗牌了。
每一場比賽都將是一場戰鬥,就像富勒姆表現出的那樣,因為大多數球隊仍然在
為所有東西而戰,不論是歐戰名額還是更加普遍的,對降級的恐懼。還有不那麼小的
停賽問題,在富勒姆,兩人被罰下,穿紅色球衣的其他人也見紅了,這顯然表現出了

Vehicle: Aston Martin
Why: Sublime to watch, classic of all time, and totally out of reach for
most mortals.
I've long thought our beloved Michael Essien is the (super?)human
equivalent of the re-imagined Batmobile as seen in Christopher Nolan's
recent films. The unique vehicle memorably described as a tank in Batman
Begins is seemingly indestructible, powerful, occasionally menacing,
capable of overcoming any obstacle in its path, and unlike lesser models
is apparently unconstrained by the laws of gravity and physics.Yet despite
its overwhelming power and bulk this incredible machine is equally adept
at bursts of speed and silky turns, combining force and finesse to leave
everything in its wake.
I'll nominate your former team-mate Mickey Thomas as a yellowish robin
reliant van with "Trotters Independent Trading co" on the side for obvious
reasons.
Pat Nevin is an Austin Healey (Frogeye) Sprite. Small, reliable, nippy and
can turn on a sixpence. Reminds me of you particularly when you are
wearing those glasses!
Frank Lampard - Aston Martin. Best English sport car ever. As a James
Bond's car, this car (his game) is full of surprises.
Didier Drogda - Muslce car. Brutal and fast.
Michael Ballack - Mercedes Benz. Reliable and powerful.
Peter Cech - an Austin A40 towing a caravan - nothing gets past!
Michael Essien - a Volvo - runs forever!
I'm currently driving a Gianfranco Zola Fiat Brava ELX. No longer
available, but when in production it was top of the range. It is full of
smart tricks and gimmicks.
Ron Harris - The Combine Harvester- A bit agricultural but extremely
efficient.
Rolls Royce - Jose Mourinho (Everybody wants one and whoever gets one
finds that it is very, very expensive to run)
Doug Rougvie is the Reliant Robin.Whilst neither was particularly easy on
the eye, both were much loved by their fans and enjoyed a kind of
cult-like status. Both appeared to have (or indeed did have) three
legs/wheels at times when running.Despite their quirky charm and a
performance which belied their appearance, both could break down at
inopportune times (eg Hillsborough when 4-3 up and with a few minutes to
play). But when all's said and done, both are forgiven their shortcomings
because of their unique abilities
There were hundreds more but I have run out of space.
