The game against our west London neighbours will be played either on Tuesday 22 or Wednesday 23 September. We were knocked out of this competition by The Hoops back in 1986, the only time we have previously met in the League Cup. The last time we met Rangers we were 1-0 FA Cup third round winners at Stamford Bridge in January 2008, goalkeeper Lee Camp diverting a Claudio Pizarro shot into his own net.
