DATES ANNOUNCED FOR CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Chelsea have been drawn against Marseille, Spartak Moscow and MFK Zilina
for the Champions League group stage.
小組賽的主旋律還是回娘家+老梗。
The matches will take place as follows:
MSK Zilina away - Wednesday 15 September
Marseille home - Tuesday 28 September
Spartak Moscow away - Tuesday 19 October
Spartak Moscow home - Wednesday 3 November
MSK Zilina home - Tuesday 23 November
Marseille away - Wednesday 8 December
The schedule means Didier Drogba will be serve one of a two-match European
suspension against his former club Marseille but will be available for the
away game at Stade Velodrome.

We played Marseille during the second group stage in 1999/2000, winning
1-0 at home with a Dennis Wise goal, and losing 1-0 away. Former Chelsea
midfielder Didier Deschamps is their manager, and they won the French
league last season.

We have never met Spartak Moscow before, but their Luzhniki Stadium home
hosted the 2008 Champions League Final, where we lost on penalties to
Manchester United.

Zilina meanwhile, we played in the first game after Roman Abramovich
bought the club in 2003. That was a Champions League qualifier, and we
won 2-0 away from home. The home leg we won 3-0, going on to reach the
semi-finals.
