青年聯賽第14輪補賽精華 http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2340660,00.html YOUTH REPORT: CRYSTAL PALACE 4 CHELSEA 1 Posted on: Sat 16 Apr 2011 Philipp Prosenik returned to action for the first time in seven months as the Under 18s were beaten by a strong Crystal Palace side. The Blues fielded several new names, including Matt Tomlinson and Mitchell Beeney who took turns between the posts while Prosenik, who's been sidelined with injury for most of the season, took up his position in central attack. Rohan Ince played in the centre of a midfield three flanked by George Saville (pictured) and Lewis Baker while Jordan Houghton made a full debut at centre-half. The young side played plenty of good football in the first-half but were out-shone by a strong Crystal Palace line up, with the hosts netting twice before the break. However, Adam Nditi hit the post in the first-half with a great strike while Tomlinson produced a number of saves to keep the score level before Palace struck with their first goal. That came courtesy of some clever combining on the left flank before Palace beat the offside trap and slotted home on 22 minutes. The next arrived following a good save but a failed clearance by Tomlinson, which saw the ball land at the feet of Palace's number 9, who then did well to beat the keeper and increase the side's lead. Chelsea did pull one back before the break when Nditi was pulled down inside the area and Bobby Devyne stepped up to drill the penalty home. During the break, youth team manager Dermot Drummy made several changes, replacing the returning Prosenik with Ismail Seremba up front while John Swift swapped with Samuel Bangura. Swift joined the midfield trio on the right and Saville moved back to central defence. Despite the fresh legs, Palace continued to control the game and their third goal came from good combination play again, this time on the right which Chelsea failed to defend, allowing Palace to break into the box and net another. Chelsea at times looked dangerous on the counter but it was Palace who were be next to net from counter-attacking football, leaving Beeney with little chance of saving between the posts as they netted the fifth goal of the game. 'Palace deserved to win, they were decent and worked hard, harder than us,' said Drummy after the game. 'But I got to look at Mitchell Beeney as an Under 15, I have seen Jordan Houghton and we gave Philipp Prosenik some minutes while Lewis Baker put in a really good performance, so there are plenty of positives to come from the game. 'Also, Rohan Ince played well for 90 minutes and a lot of individual questions were answered for me ahead of the FA Youth Cup on Wednesday. 'We played some very good football but Palace fought for 90 minutes and we didn't. Regardless of the result, that's what we have to do and we have to learn from the things we didn't do right.
