A product of the club's Academy, Jack was with Chelsea since the age of nine, but never made a competitive senior appearance and now joins a club he spent time on loan with in 2008. A regular loanee, Jack represented no fewer than six clubs on temporary deals away from Stamford Bridge, and has won 13 England Under 21 caps, forming part of their European Championship squad this summer. The 22-year-old spent the entirety of last season at Burnley, where he scored three times in 46 appearances, despite suffering from a heart complaint late in the season. He also represented Coventry City, Watford, Scunthorpe United and Bournemouth, and has clocked up more than 150 senior appearances, 25 of them for Southampton.
