The father of Nigeria and Chelsea footballer John Mikel Obi has been found
alive in the northern state of Kano ten days after he was kidnapped,
MTNFootball.com can exclusively reveal. His abductors have been arrested
by police in Kano and they are being interrogated.

Michael Obi was snatched while returning from work which prompted a
frantic search and appeals for the Super Eagles star. He was attacked
while he was driving his car in Jos on 12 August. His car was recovered
but he was kept in the kidnappers until the police swooped on Monday
evening to free him.
他下班回家時被綁，前幾天找到他的車，禮拜一警方突襲歹徒後解放了他。
Michael Obi had not been seen or heard from since he failed to return home
from work in Jos.
Kidnappings - more often of oil workers, the rich and famous - are a
common occurrence in Nigeria. It is not the first time a relative of a
Premier League player has been abducted in Nigeria.
Footballers and their families are increasingly being targetted. In July
2008, the elder brother of Nigerian and Everton defender Joseph Yobo was
seized in Port Harcourt, where kidnappings for ransom are most frequent.
It was not clear if a ransom was paid but Nornu Yobo was released after
being held for almost two weeks.
