U18聯賽第31輪 http://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/3795353/ YOUTH REPORT: CHELSEA 2 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 7 Posted on: Tue 29 Apr 2014 == Summary == A side featuring 13 schoolboys, including eight Under-15s, lost at Cobham as Tottenham confirmed their position as winners of the Under-18 League's south division. George Brady had twice put Chelsea ahead but the young Spurs fought back on both occasions and went in 3-2 up at the break, before their older years proved decisive in the second period. == Team news == With the game falling less than 24 hours after the FA Youth Cup final first leg, Under-16s manager Joe Edwards took charge of the youth team for the second time in four days, and there was just one scholar involved in the squad as Brady began in defence. Three Under-16s in Ruben Sammut, Mukhtar Ali and Kyle Scott made up the midfield trio, while Isaac Christie-Davies and Faiq Bolkiah were the other representatives from the older schoolboy age group. The rest of the side was comprised of Under-15s as Jared Thompson continued in goal, Trevoh Chalobah, Joshua Grant and Richard Nartey kept their places in the back four, Ike Ugbo led the line up front and Jacob Maddox came into the side on the right flank. == First half == Chelsea started well and both Ugbo and Christie-Davies had efforts fly narrowly wide inside the opening exchanges. Joshua Onomah shot over for Tottenham before the young Blues took the lead after 12 minutes. Captain Brady met Scott's deep cross from the right at the back post with a powerful header as he netted his first goal of the campaign (pictured above). Filip Lesniak shot wide as Spurs responded strongly and the league leaders were level midway through the half courtesy of Sheyon Harrison as the striker finished confidently after Onomah's enterprising run down the left. Chelsea had to defend maturely for periods but remained a threat themselves and retook the lead after 36 minutes. Christie-Davies's corner from the right was floated invitingly into the front post and Brady was there again to head past Harry Voss in the visitors' goal. However, the lead lasted just two minutes as Spurs reacted purposefully once again. A good move involving Onomah and Nathan Oduwa fashioned a sight at goal for Lloyd Ross and he finished beyond Thompson from close range. Tottenham were looking for a point that would see them confirmed as winners of the south division of the Under-18 League and managed to take the lead for the first time in the afternoon a few minutes before the break. Connor Ogilvie turned supplier and Harrison followed Brady (pictured below) in netting his second of the game as his effort squirmed under Thompson and trickled over the line. http://www.chelseafc.com/javaImages/1f/43/0,,10268~12796703,00.jpg
布雷迪 == Second half == Chelsea started the second period with a chance to level after great interplay between Ali and Christie-Davies fashioned an opportunity for Ugbo, though despite the striker's effort beating goalkeeper Voss it lacked enough power and was cleared off the line by substitute Kyle Walker-Peters. Spurs responded by going up the other end and grabbing the game's sixth goal. Ross did well to advance down the left flank and Harrison completed his hat-trick with another neat finish. The visitors' power, fitness and strength against opponents two or three years their junior was proving increasingly significant and Thompson made an impressive double save from Cy Goddard, before Harrison grabbed his fourth, finishing high and powerfully. Onomah then grabbed his goal following a quick break forward from the visitors, before he netted a second a couple of minutes later. Another Under-15 joined the action for the Blues late on as Harvey St Clair made his youth team debut, while Maddox forced a good save from Voss and Christie-Davies shot over as the young Blues continued to push forward late on. Next up for the Academy is the Under-21 play-off semi-final against Manchester City this Thursday 1 May. Kick-off is at 7.15pm at the Etihad Stadium and the game is being screened live on Sky Sports.
