U18聯賽第六輪精華 http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2014/09/ under-18s-report--tottenham-hotspur-2-chelsea-4.html Under-18s report: Tottenham Hotspur 2 Chelsea 4 Sat, 27 Sep 2014 Our Under-18s twice came from behind to triumph at Tottenham in an entertaining encounter this morning (Saturday). Luke Amos put the hosts ahead at the break before Tammy Abraham's equaliser early after the restart. Cameron Carter-Vickers then restored Spurs' advantage with a close-range header, however the Chelsea response was instant as Miro Muheim fired in a low strike from the edge of the box. The young Blues then pushed on to secure all three points as Abraham powered home another header and then sealed his hat-trick late on. == Team news == Joe Edwards made one change from the side that beat West Brom 5-0 last weekend as Ali Suljic replaced Jake Clarke-Salter at the heart of the defence. Schoolboy Josh Grant, Fikayo Tomori and captain Jay Dasilva comprised the remainder of the back four, protecting Bradley Collins in goal. The midfield and forward quintet remained unchanged, with Tammy Abraham (pictured) leading the line up front supported by Charlie Wakefield and Miro Muheim from the wide areas. Mukhtar Ali and Ruben Sammut anchored in midfield, while Kyle Scott began in the number 10 role. == First half == The hosts started strongly and Collins was forced into a good save inside two minutes. Joe Pritchard found some space and struck a stinging drive that the goalkeeper palmed away, before Grant reacted quickly to thwart the danger on the rebound. That set the tone for an opening period which Tottenham controlled, pressing high and continuously to win the ball back and carve out opportunities. The young Blues had a couple of chances from set-pieces but Spurs defended strongly in the air and their attacking endeavours soon paid dividends as they took the lead. Anthony Georgiou escaped in behind and his low shot thumped back off the far post and rebounded invitingly for Amos, who remained composed and fired into the back of the net. Edwards' side responded well and Muheim was denied only by a well-timed sliding challenge from Anton Walkes, while Dasilva stung the palms of Tom Glover in the Tottenham goal. The game remained open at both ends and Collins made another good save down low from Georgiou's effort, while Muehim's fierce left-foot shot from distance had Glover beaten but struck the post and bounced to safety. Second half == Second half == The second period began as eventfully as the first had and the visitors were awarded a penalty after a few minutes as Scott stole possession and was brought down by Amos. Abraham stepped up but his spot-kick was saved down to his left by Glover. However, the scores were soon level as Abraham quickly redeemed himself. Pressure from the visitors brought progress down the left and Dasilva's centre was met by a thumping header from the striker at the front post to restore parity in the match. Pritchard dragged an effort wide as Spurs responded and the end-to-end nature of the contest continued as Tottenham regained their one-goal advantage. Harrison provided the set-piece delivery from the right and Carter-Vickers headed beyond Collins from close range. Collins made a string of further stops before being forced into withdrawing with a knock, yet Chelsea were soon level again in the 70th minute. Muheim received the ball down the left and fired a brilliant low shot into the far corner that left Glover helpless and got him on the scoresheet for the second week in a row. That leveller inspired the visitors and they were quickly ahead for the first time in the game as Grant found Abraham with a flighted cross from the right and the England Under-18 forward again provided the finish for his seventh goal of the campaign. In the final exchanges, the striker put a gloss on a dominant performance by bagging his hat-trick goal as he got beyond Glover and finished confidently into the unguarded net. Next up for the youth team is a trip to Norwich City next Saturday 4 October, while our Under-19s resume their UEFA Youth League campaign on Tuesday 30 September with a trip to Sporting Lisbon. Elsewhere in the Academy, two more first-year scholars have signed their first professional contracts at the club. Defender Ali Suljic and midfielder Ruben Sammut put pen to paper after celebrating their 17th birthdays.
