The match ebbed and flowed with England striking first after eight minutes through Demarai Gray of Birmingham City. Morocco hit back with two goals in a minute but Baker helped level things up with a raking pass from deep that allowed Sunderland's Duncan Watmore to clip the ball over the keeper. However, the North Africans scored again to go in at the break ahead after a pulsating opening half. England's cause was not helped when Dominic Iorfa was dismissed early on in the second period, but Aidy Boothroyd's youngsters showed resilience to equalise with time almost up, Chuba Akpom the scorer. John Swift was an unused sub. England continue their campaign at the annual Under-20 tournament in southern France on Saturday when they take on Ivory Coast. The midfielder was introduced with 66 minutes played and the young Three Lions two goals to the good. The West Africans got a late goal back but that couldn't stop Aidy Boothroyd's side recording their first victory of the tournament. John Swift was an unused substitute.
