In our round-up of the action involving Chelsea players on loan over the
last week, there were a couple of impressive performances in the Premier
League and Michy Batshuayi scored his first goals for Besiktas.

Conor Gallagher picked up his first win of the season with Crystal Palace
in some style, as they ended Tottenham Hotpsur's 100 per cent Premier
League record by beating them 3-0 at Selhurst Park. Gallagher impressed
for the Eagles again, having an early effort well saved by Hugo Lloris and
setting up debutant Odsonne Edouard to score Palace's third against 10-man
Spurs in added time.

Armando Broja was desperately unlucky not to score his first Premier
League goal and give Southampton victory after coming on for the last 15
minutes of their 0-0 draw with West Ham United. The striker struck the
post with one shot before having a late header cleared off the line,
leaving manager Ralph Hasenhuttl impressed with how he is adapting to life
on loan with the Saints.

'It's impressive how quick he learns and how quick he wants to do it
better and I've seen why the scouts wanted to sign him,' he said. 'He
definitely shows qualities we haven't had so far in this squad and this
was very positive for me.'
Michy Batshuayi scored his first two goals for Besiktas as he hit a brace
in their 3-0 home win over Malatyaspor. It took the Belgian just seven
minutes to get his first for the club as he latched on to Miralem Pjanic's
through-ball and fired through the goalkeeper's legs, and he added another
in the second half as he closed down the keeper and blocked his clearance
on the edge of the box, sending Besiktas top of the table on goal
difference.

Tiemoue Bakayoko made the first appearance of his second spell with AC
Milan as they made it three wins from as many games by beating Lazio 2-0
at home. However, it wasn't the happy return he would have wanted as his
match last less than 15 minutes when he was forced off with an injury,
having also been booked within two minutes of coming off the bench in an
ill-tempered game, which also saw former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri,
now with Lazio, shown a red card for storming onto the pitch to confront
Milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Emerson featured throughout as Lyon secured their second consecutive win
in Ligue 1, and their first at home this season, comfortably beating
Strasbourg 3-1 despite conceding from an injury-time penalty.

Karlo Ziger started for Rudar Velenje as they came back from a goal down
to win 4-1 against Drava Ptuj, keeping them within touching distance of
the promotion places in Slovenia.
Back in England, defenders Jake Clarke-Salter and Ian Maatsen helped
Coventry City continue their unbeaten home record in the Championship.
Both players started their match on Saturday before being withdrawn in the
closing stages of a 2-0 win over Middlesbrough, with Maatsen being
replaced by former Chelsea Academy player Todd Kane, who was making his
Sky Blues debut.
Baba Rahman made his own debut for Reading in their home fixture against
Queens Park Rangers, as former Chelsea midfielder John Swift scored a
hat-trick before the Royals conceded an injury-time equaliser to draw 3-3.

Henry Lawrence was involved in two high-scoring thrillers with Wimbledon.
First he came off the bench with the score tied at 2-2 in their EFL Trophy
match against Portsmouth, before they went behind. However, Lawrence was
fouled in the box with 10 minutes left and the resulting penalty sparked a
late surge to win 5-3.

The full-back was in the starting line-up as the Dons travelled to
Morecambe in League One on Saturday, again coming back from 3-2 down to
win, this time 4-3 thanks to an injury-time winner, with Lawrence's cross
from the left setting up Wimbledon's second goal.

Goalkeeper Jamie Cumming made a series of saves, including one excellent
stop with his leg on the stroke of half-time, as Gillingham played out an
open and entertaining 1-1 draw at Burton Albion in League One.
