Lokomotiv Moscow were a goal and a man down to Marseille in their opening
Europa League group stage fixture when Tino Anjorin entered the action
midway through the second half. With injury time approaching, he picked
the ball up outside the box, drove into space and curled an unstoppable
shot into the bottom right-hand corner. It finished 1-1 in Moscow with
Anjorin announcing his arrival to the home support in some style.

There was also midweek European action for Michy Batshuayi as Besiktas
narrowly lost 2-1 at home to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
They followed that up with a 3-2 victory at Antalyaspor having trailed 2-0
at half-time. Batshuayi netted the equaliser with a right-footed shot
before setting up the winner 15 minutes from time.

Emerson helped Lyon get their Europa League campaign off to the perfect
start with a 2-0 win at Rangers. They were then beaten 2-1 very late on by
PSG on Sunday evening having taken the lead at the Parc de Princes, Mauro
Icardi heading a 93rd-minute winner.
Dujon Sterling and Danny Drinkwater made their debuts for Blackpool and
Reading respectively in the past week.
Sterling was a late sub in the Seasiders' 3-0 loss at home to
Huddersfield, then played the full 90 as they came from behind to beat
Middlesbrough 2-1 on Saturday.
Drinkwater meanwhile was an early sub for Reading, brought on with 20
minutes played, and helped his team secure an impressive 2-1 victory at
leaders Fulham. Baba Rahman played the full game at left-back, as he had
done in Reading's 3-1 midweek success at home to Peterborough. Seven
points out of a possible nine since the international break have lifted
the Royals to 14th.

Levi Colwill stood out in that Huddersfield victory at Blackpool when
Sterling debuted, but he was powerless to stop the Terriers losing 2-0 at
home to managerless Nottingham Forest at the weekend. They are now seventh
in the Championship.
Coventry City are up in fourth and continue to impress with two Blues in
their team. Jake Clarke-Salter and Ian Maatsen started both their 1-0 win
over Cardiff and 1-1 draw at Millwall, with Maatsen withdrawn in the first
game and Clarke-Salter, because of injury, in the second.

It was not a good weekend for two central midfielders in the Premier
League, with Conor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour playing the full 90 minutes
of Crystal Palace and Norwich's losses to Liverpool and Watford
respectively.

However, Armando Broja played the final 25 minutes at the Etihad, helping
Southampton get over the line to secure an impressive goalless draw at
Manchester City. He will be hoping for a start when the Saints travel to
Sheffield United in the Carabao Cup tomorrow.
Finishing the domestic round-up, Henry Lawrence and AFC Wimbledon were
beaten 1-0 by Plymouth on Saturday, while Gillingham went down 4-1 at home
to MK Dons. Jamie Cumming had already made an impressive save before the
Gills took the lead, but an early red card changed the game and two late
MK goals added gloss to the final scoreline.
In Brazil, Kenedy made his Flamengo debut as a late sub in their 1-0 home
loss to Gremio in the Brazilian top flight. Matt Miazga played as Alaves
were beaten 2-0 by Osasuna in La Liga, and in Slovenia Rudar Velenje lost
4-0 at NK Primorje with Karlo Ziger in goal again.

loving Chelsea being winners. He'll just love Chelsea winning.'
