But there is no reason to sit one of your stars, especially your best low-post weapon on offense, unless you are trying to prove a point. Boozer had 12 points and nine rebounds on Wednesday night, but he looked lethargic defensively almost from the beginning of the game. Backup Nets forward Kris Humphries played with more energy than Boozer and looked far more aggressive on both ends of the floor. First-time starter Derrick Favors beat Boozer down the floor two times to start the second half which led to Thibodeau burning a 20-second time out just 63 seconds into the third quarter. Thibodeau's words may tell one story, but the frustration on his face told a different one.
