Diamondbacks GM Kevin Towers was in the house this afternoon to see Oklahoma
prep RHP Dylan Bundy pitch. (Last night, he was supposed to face off against
another Oklahoma prep sensation, Archie Bradley, but the game was cancelled
due to weather conditions.)
Bundy, pushed back to today, was absolutely dominant, throwing his fastball
between 95-100 mph and even hitting 90 mph on at least one slider.
I keep hearing effusive praise from evaluators for what Bundy has done this
spring; an official with another team called one of Bundy’s outings the best
he’s seen from a high school pitcher in 20 years of scouting.
As we’ve said before: It’s a very good year to have two picks in the top
seven.
