Much ado about nothing, according to Wade. ''It looked worse than what it was to me. It was just a disagreement on my part and on his part,'' Wade said. ``It kind of got blown out of proportion a little bit. I was trying to talk to him. You see other guys pull guys away from other guys, and that seems more than what it was. ``We weren't to where we felt like fighting. It was just a disagreement. At the time of the game, our competitive nature takes over. Gary and I are two competitive guys who want the best for our team.'' Asked if the Heat had won, would the incident have been seen differently, Wade said, ``No question. Any time you win, anything's perceived totally differently.'' He refused to talk about anything said Monday between he and Payton. The incident, after Udonis Haslem's mouthpiece toss in Game 1 and James Posey's open-court body check in Game 3, makes a series of incidents that had some questioning if the Heat had lost their poise. ''I think at times we have,'' Wade said. ``For us to have a lot of veteran guys, I don't think we've been as poised as we should be.'' Coach Pat Riley said of the perception the Heat are cracking, ``I don't think there's anything wrong with anybody having that perception. I don't feel it. I know I've got a competitive team, and I know how they are. ``This bunch? Compared to what I had in New York and coached here? They're choirboys.
