Spoelstra again defended his team's half-court offense, which has been uneven
during the losing streak.
"We've been simply missing a lot of mid-range shots that we've been so great
at," he said. "We were third in the league in mid-range jump-shooting for the
first 15, 16 games of the year. And for the last three games, that's been a
tough shot for us."
The Heat has fallen to 20th in the league in shooting and 22nd in 3-point
shooting, with its free-throw percentage 28th in the 30-team league.
Guard Dwyane Wade said the pace must quicken.
"We didn't build this team to be just a half-court team," he said. "So if
we're not getting our transition buckets, then we're not the team that we
were built to be."
Wade, Chris Quinn and Yakhouba Diawara stayed for extra shooting after
Wednesday's practice. ...
