Dennis Bergkamp心目中的最佳11人:
4-2-1-3
Van Der Sar
Keown Adams Hoddle Maldini
Vieira Cocu
Bergkamp
Cruyff Overmars
Van Basten
Goalkeeper
Edwin Van Der Sar
Edwin must be included simply because he will win points for any team
he plays for. He's so tall and commanding and he makes those crucial
saves, which win games. He is more than just a great goalkeeper--
he's a match winner, so he walks straight into my team.
Right-back
Martin Keown
Martin is one of the best defenders I've ever seen. He's at right-back
in this team because I'm determined to include him. Although he is a
centre-back he's played at right-back too. Always one to win the fight,
he'llthrow himself in front of the ball and win every tackle.A fearless
and tough man, he has an amazing mentality. He can motivate himself for
every match and every train session. He's a typically English defender
and I would need people like that in my team.
Centre-back
Tony Adams
Like Martin Keown,Tony had a great mentality and was a natural leader.
The way he walks, the way he talks, the way he lives his life--he is a
born captain. He would be the captian of the team too. He is such an
immense captain. Before I even joined Arsenal, I scored that remarkable
goal past him at Wimbley when I was playing against England. The fact
that in scoring such a goal I defeated Tony Adams made it all the more
special.
Sweeper
Glenn Hoddle
When I watched English football as a youngster,Glenn Hoddle was the player
I loved to watch most. He was so skilful. He was two footed, a great
passer and had a good eye for the players making forward runs. He alwys
thought about passing forward first and was a very positive player. I
tried to copy a lot of his moveswhen I was younger. He was a real hero
to me and one of the reasons I was so determined to become a professional
player.
Left-back
Paolo Maldini
Has there ever a been a better left-back anywhere in the world than Paolo
Maldini? You simply can't get past him. But more than this, he's a defender
who likes to get forward as well. I've always admired defenders who don't
just do thier job at the back but also get forward. He is a class apart.
Midfield
Patrick Vieira
Patrick has been amazing for Arsenal. Controlling a midfieldis a difficult
job, especially in the Premiership. He is just ther to do his job and
doesn;t try special passesor fancy flicks, he just cincentrates on what
he's good at. He's a powerhouse and a good player to be with. And although
he's French, and has helped that side to many medals, he is actually
a very English type of player.
Midfield
Phillip Cocu
I want a left-footed midfielder in the team and Phillip is one of the
best around. He doesn't always get a lot of compliments in Holland
and people sometimes question why he's in the national team. But I
believe he's a vital player. He cleans up the mess in the team and
covers other players' backs. He also scores a lot of goals and I would
certainly want a team where goals can come from all over the park.
In the hole
Dennis Bergkamp
Me,of course,because I'm an arrogant,selfish sort.I don't think there
is a player in the world today who can play the role behind the main
striker as well as I can!It suits me so well.If a striker is willing to
work for me I can be very effectivein that position.
Striker
Johan Cruyff
I can't leave him out of my team. He;s been so important for football
in Holland and around the world. He was another leader and a great,
exceptional player. Football only really took off in Holland with Cruyff.
A typical Dutch player--always looking to go forward and thinking of
attacking, full of clever ideas and with a big mouth!
Striker
Marco Van Basten
Why Marco? I think everyone knows why. He was a great player who was
fantastic for Dutch football. He was also great for me because when I
played with Marco I learn a great deal. He gave me so much confidence and
he told the national coach that he should pick more Ajax players, which
led to me being picked. I have so much repect for him. He also scored
amazing goals and obviously I like that in a player.
Striker
Marc Overmars
Maybe I'm not that objective because I know Marco so well having played
with him for ajax,Arsenal and Holland, but he is hust a great player. He
has two great feet and can make and score fantastic goals. You need players
with pace. He says himself that statistically he has meant a lot to the
team he's played for. Look at how heplayed in the second half of the 1998
Double-winning season at Arsenal--he was immense.
