PRAGUE, Sept 9 (Reuters) The Czech Republic and the Netherlands head into their Euro 2004 Group Three qualifier on Wednesday with the stakes clear: The winner automatically books a place in the finals in Portugal next summer. 'One victory and we are through,' said inspirational Czech captain Pavel Nedved. 'It's a difficult task, but we believe we can do it.' The two sides lie joint top of the standings, but whoever wins Wednesday's match will qualify. Because the first match ended in a 1-1 draw in Amsterdam, any winner on Wednesday would have a better head-to-head record against the other side which determines the outcome in the final analysis. Both teams go into the match with 16 points from six matches - seven clear of Austria who are eliminated. The Czechs come into the match unbeaten in their 16 outings since Karel Bruckner took as coach after his country's unsuccessful qualification for the 2002 World Cup. The Netherlands, too, are on a successful run, unbeaten in 14 matches since coach Dick Advocaat took over. Both scored 3-1 wins on Saturday with the Czechs winning in Belarus and the Dutch beating Austria in Rotterdam. The Czechs will be invigorated by the return of defensive midfielder Tomas Galasek after the Ajax Amsterdam player pulled out late on Saturday with a thigh muscle injury. 'I don't want to miss a match like this... but if I am only 70 or 80 percent fit, I won't play,' Galasek said. If Galasek is unfit the Czechs might turn to TSV Munich 1860's Roman Tyce who started in Galasek's place against Beluars, but failed to impress and was substituted after only 36 minutes. Udinese wingback Marek Jankulovski is suspended and is likely to be replaced by another Serie A defender, Martin Jiranek of Reggiana. DAVIDS DOUBTFUL Juventus midfielder Edgar Davids is the only doubt for the Dutch with Advocaatwelcoming back Roy Makaay, recovered from a knee injury, and Ruud van Nistelrooy, who was suspended on Saturday. Davids is bothered by a groin injury, but that might not be a prime concern initially for Advocaat who is likely to start with Philip Cocu and Mark van Bommel in midfield. Davids has not impressed in his last two matches on the left flank. The Dutch played with a four-man attack against the Austrians in the second half on Saturday with Rafael van der Vaart as an attacking midfielder. Afterwards Advocaat concluded that it would be suicidal if he started that way against the Czechs and he is likely to rely on counter-attacks to win the game. Probable teams: Czech Republic: Petr Cech; Martin Jiranek, Rene Bolf, Tomas Ujfalusi, Zdenek Grygera; Karel Poborsky, Tomas Rosicky, Tomas Galasek, Pavel Nedved; Vladimir Smicer, Jan Koller Netherlands: Edwin van der Sar; Michael Reiziger, Frank de Boer, Jaap Stam, Boudewijn Zenden; Rafael van der Vaart, Mark van Bommel, Philip Cocu, Marc Overmars; Patrick Kluivert, Ruud van Nistelrooy.
